Ph.D. student

A doctoral student in psychology (D. Psy.) with a concentration in clinical neuropsychology at Université Laval, Élodie Marois is co-supervised by Carol Hudon (School of Psychology) and Valerie Peters (Faculty of Music). Her doctoral dissertation project focuses on the effectiveness of listening to personalized music in managing behavioral and psychological symptoms (BPSD) in individuals with major neurocognitive disorders residing in long-term care homes and alternative residential settings (MDAA), as well as its indirect effect on the well-being of caregiving staff. This project combines her passions for music and neuropsychology, ultimately aiming to enhance recognition of the value of personalized music.
