2023 Symposium on Music Teacher Education

Marie-Claude Mathieu, doctoral student in music education, and Valerie Peters, her research director and full professor in music education, attended the Society for Music Education (SMTE) symposium held at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City from October 12 to 14 2023. They took part in one of the ASPA (Area for Strategic Planning and Action) working tables, which focus on developing and implementing action plans related to music teacher training issues. Marie-Claude Mathieu also presented a poster at the Graduate Research Forum, where members of the Editorial Review Board of the Journal of Music Teacher Education provided mentoring and feedback to participants.
