Soundbeam and inclusion

This research project is committed to breaking down the barriers that often prevent certain populations from participating in musical activities outside the traditional school setting. Using the Soundbeam, an innovative instrument that creates music through personalized movements for each individual, a team from École de musique Alain-Caron will visit residences and centers for people living with physical and cognitive difficulties. We will offer these residents the opportunity to engage in enriching musical activities, as well as welcoming them to the music school, all free of charge. Our goal is to make participation in musical life accessible to everyone in the community. This project is made possible by the generous financial support of the Rivière-du-Loup MRC, through the Fonds d’initiatives culturelles, with a grant of $10,000.
